Not Even Returning to Gold-Standard Will Save the US
Gerald Celente : Not Even Returning to Gold-Standard Will Save the US .Steve Forbes is championing a return to a gold standard in five years time. Will that help the slumping American economy though? Gerald Celente of the Trends Research Institute says no. Forbes has flip-flopped on the issue before and his predictions regarding the price of oil never panned out. Today, it seems, like the only thing "good as gold" is the decline of the US dollar. The whole world is losing more and more confidence in the US dollar. Because of the declining value of the greenback, Zimbabwe is planning to return to using gold-backed currency in order to save the economy. Even Mexico just bought 100 tonnes of gold according to the Mexican Central Bank because of the lack of confidence in the US dollar as the world currency reserve. However, with the whole world looking into the gold standard, Gerald Celente believes that even if the US follows their footsteps into gold economy, it will not be able to save itself. If we wen't on to a gold standard, then the elites could game that too (elites have gold) and we would have a massive contraction of "currency" with them profiting off of it. I am not saying that we shouldn't, just that it seems that we lose no matter what. Most "Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international moneylenders... The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and... manipulates the credit of the US." Sen. Barry Goldwater "I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing power should be taken from banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs" Jefferson
