AirAsia X to offer for sale 790.12m shares under IPO (Update)

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X Bhd, which is seeking a listing on Bursa Malaysia, is offering for sale 709.12 million shares, comprising of 592.59 million new shares and 197.53 million existing shares.
The institutional offering of up to 685.679 million IPO shares, is 28.9% of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of the company.
According to the draft prospectus on the Securities Commission website, the 685.679 million IPO shares comprise of up to 197.530 million offer shares and 227.407 million issue shares to Malaysian institutional and selected investors and foreign institutional and selected investors at the institutional price.
Another 260.740 million issue shares would be offered to Bumiputera institutional and selected investors at the institutional price.
The retail offering would comprise of 104.444 million shares, or 4.4% of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital, at the retail price.

Commenting on the recent controversial gold investment schemes involving several companies, he said there was no proper regulations for such trading and investment.
“I recommend gold as a kind of reserve or saving, better than money, as it is more likely to appreciate.
“I do not know what's the issue with this Genneva company, but I think it should be investigated to find out what did it do wrong.
“On the other hand, people (the investors) also deserve fair treatment because if you totally stop the transactions, their money will get stuck,” he told reporters after delivering a keynote address at the 3rd World Riba Conference.
Last month, Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a gold trading company, alongside a few other companies of similar business nature were raided by Bank Negara, the police, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry and the Companies Commission of Malaysia.

Early Wednesday morning Germany's Federal Constitutional Court ruled that plowing taxpayer money into the the ECB's latest plan to prop up the euro zone economy was not unconstitutional (double negative theirs), freeing the way for the implementation of the European Stability Mechanism to start buying sovereign bonds of member nations. In English, Europe is now free to start their own slightly muted version of quantitative easing.
Jim Rogers, the legendary investor and chairman of Rogers Holdings isn't impressed. The latest ruling and the Draghi plan (announced last week, which catalyzed a significant rally) make everyone feel a little better but does nothing to cure what really ails the world. "We're all going to pay a horrible price for this in a year or two or three," Rogers tells me in the attached video. The fact that Europe seems to be intent on performing a euro version of QE only gives the Western world "unanimity towards mutual destruction."
